Andreas Ottensamer will feature as a soloist at this years Europakonzert of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
This year’s Europakertzert on the 1st of May takes the Berliner Philharmoniker to Cyprus, or more precisely, to the ancient port of Paphos. In front of the Byzantine castle of the city, the orchestra plays works by Carl Maria von Weber and Antonín Dvořák, who are impressed by a swarmy sweep and warm colors. The conductor is a close friend of the orchestra, Mariss Jansons, and Andreas Ottensamer will feature as a soloist in Weber’s clarinet concerto No. 1.
